Little Heart

Apologies for not updating here for the longest time (I have loads to talk about, trust me -- and will update more on that soon), but I just wanted to make a short post with regards to a project I've lately been involved in: Little Heart, a Comic Anthology for Marriage Equality.

The Kickstarter for this project is over in just a scant few days, and considering the amazing work in the book and the really awesome folks behind it, I'd very much appreciate it if you would check it out. The five page comic I contributed was written & partially illustrated by Kate Craig (interviewed on the story here), and is pretty much the closest thing to an autobio I think either of us has ever done (or probably will do, really). I am fiercely proud of her writing and the chance for the two of us to be able to work on a comic together, and considering I am marrying the hell outta her later this year, this issue could not be more important to me.

Please take a gander!

Fan art round up:

After working on a sad comic for so long last month, it does me good to have all these games come out in November -- y'know, so I can draw a bunch of goofy fan art for them. I haven't drawn fan art in a long time, so this was all a hoot. Above and below there's stuff from Fallout: New Vegas, Uncharted 3, and Skyrim (with maybe some **spoilers** here and there, so be forewarned!). At the very bottom is a round up of some of my RPG characters from several recentish games (Dragon Age: Origins, Fallout: NV, Dragon Age 2, Fallout 3 & Skyrim).

Margot's Room: PART V

"Margot's Room" comes to an end this week with Part V (and an extra warning goes here for blood/horror/violence). For those who have just found the comic, or who find it now that it's complete, I just want to say again that the order of the comics is listed in the poem on the landing page -- each line provides a clue for an object that must be clicked on in the room itself to reveal a short story.

That said, because I know the image map hasn't been working across the board, I'll also linked to each part individually in the comments below!

Thanks again for everyone who's been reading this month, and for everyone who's shared the comic around. I really appreciate it. It was my first time doing an updating comic, and I hope you enjoyed the end result!

Margot's Room: PART IV

"Margot's Room" now updated with Part IV (which means next week's installment will be the last -- egads, time flies). I also wanted to say thank you to anyone who came and said hello at NYCC last week -- I was so overwhelmed and anxious about being at a show that size, and it was really, really, appreciated to have some nice folks to talk with. So thank you!

Margot's Room: PART III

Margot's Room updated with Part III! I was happy I could get this up in time, considering I am currently in New York for NYCC and my internet access is pretty, er, inconsistent at present. And hey! If you're going to NYCC too, I'll be here promoting the upcoming graphic novel Spera at the Archaia booth with Kyla Vanderklught & Josh Tierney. Check out Kyla's LJ for the schedule &/or more info if you're so inclined!

Margot's Room: PART II

Margot's Room has been updated! Same general heads up as last time: themes of blood, grief, & a general uneasiness all still apply. Remember that each new comic is found somewhere in the room itself. Thanks!

Margot's Room

"Margot's Room" will be a 5-part story that will update every Friday until the end of October. Each week a new line of poetry will be revealed, providing a clue as to where to find the next comic (hint: it will correspond to something in Margot's room). Just a heads up: it does contain horror elements, some sad stuff, and There Will Be (more) Blood.
